The Kellogg Forest
Only a short drive from our home, the Kellogg Forest has quickly become our favorite place for sunny afternoon hikes when we feel the need to stretch our legs. There are many trails that wind through this lovely experimental forest which are open to the public for biking, hiking, horseback riding & crosscountry skiing.
The city of Kalamazoo is a pleasant, 30 minute drive west of our property. This exciting city is home to 75,500 people who enjoy all types of restaurants, live music & entertainment, festivals, unique shops, a bustling farmers' market, bike paths, several craft breweries including the famous Bells Brewery and much more.

FORT CUSTER STATE PARK
Yankee Springs is a great place to camp, hike, bike and more. It has gorgeous hiking, horseback riding, and mountain bike trails. Located on Gun Lake, it is also a great destination for your favorite water activities, including swimming, boating, and fishing.
Fort Custer features fantastic lakes, trails for hiking, mountain biking, & horse back riding, and camping. A portion of the trail system passing through Fort Custer State Park is a segment of the North Country National Scenic Trail, a national scenic hiking trail that stretches from North Dakota to New York.
The Barn Theatre is a nearby theatre school which puts on five or six plays each year. Several well know stars, including Jennifer Garner, have spent time as appretices at the theatre. Don't forget to check out the after show! These aspiring stars work hard and always put on an incredible show.

This beautiful area gives the avid or occasional golfer their choice of many courses including the Gull Lake Country Club and the Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort amongst others. Many of these clubs cater to a variety of occasions and private celebrations.
